
Lars Billeschou: Why Muehlhan Wind Service is a great place to work
Lars Billeschou is one of our many talented Site Managers here at Muehlhan Wind Service. Lars joined the company in 2020, inspired by a former manager who highly recommended the company. Lars has always enjoyed traveling, and with his children now grown, he saw it as the perfect timing to work internationally.
When asked about what he likes the most about his job, Lars highlights the diversity of his role:
“No two days are the same, and I never know exactly what the day will bring. Some days are smooth, while others come with unexpected challenges. This unpredictability keeps the job interesting and engaging”.
The team always has your back
Lars also credits the back-office team for providing solid support and assistance when needed. He shares that knowing he can always call someone from the back office when something urgent comes up is reassuring.
Lars describes the relationships with the other team members:
“The relationships here are fantastic. Much of what I’ve shared in previous answers reflects the great camaraderie we have, with mutual respect and support across the board. Over the years, new departments have been established, and we now have excellent cooperation across our teams, which has been incredibly rewarding to witness”, Lars shares.
Freedom with responsibility
Lars mentions “great colleagues” and “freedom with responsibility” as one of best aspects of working at the company. He continues:
“We have a very good atmosphere here. There’s a lot of trust, and if you’re dedicated to your job, you get a lot of freedom in return. Many of the technicians I work with often say this is one of the best projects they’ve been a part of, and I feel the same way”.

Lars describes our culture as both socially and professionally fulfilling. Team members often go out to dinner together after work to relax and connect as a team. He shares that the atmosphere is positive, with a mix of humor and seriousness. Humor, in particular, plays an essential role for Lars: “While we work hard, there’s room for the occasional joke or prank to keep things light”.
Ongoing learning and personal development

“Many of my colleagues don’t want to return to their previous companies; they’re motivated by the growth and innovation we have here at MWS. We’re continuously evolving, and people want to be a part of that. The younger generation is enthusiastic about gaining skills and pursuing further education, sometimes even combining university studies with their roles here. There’s a place here for everyone, from hands-on trades to a variety of professions”.
And Lars doesn’t have plans to leave anytime soon. The excellent colleagues and the balance of freedom with responsibility are simply too good to let go of.
“I wouldn’t have stayed for four years if that weren’t the case”, Lars concludes.
